About
Me
I’m a freelance web developer focusing mostly on React within the SharePoint Framework these days. Some of my other work involves Ember.js, WordPress, and Lit. Previously I managed a corporate web development team where we developed SharePoint, Salesforce, WordPress, and other websites and applications for internal and public audiences using a variety of web technologies.
In addition to my personal blog, I have contributed to NothingButSharePoint.com, SharePoint Magazine (page 34), and Black Magic Solutions for White Hat SharePoint.
You can follow me on Twitter @joshmcrty and see my work on CodePen and GitHub.
When I’m not knee-deep in code, I enjoy spending time with my family, catching up on the latest tech news, sharpening the saw on new web design/development trends and techniques, tinkering with Home Assistant, and playing PC games.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Ferris State University.
This Website
JoshMcCarty.com is my personal blog. I started it as a way to document my own technology interests, projects, and triumphs so I didn’t have to re-learn how to do them in the future. It still serves that purpose, but I also write with an eye toward providing general information for others, not just myself.
I don’t intend to focus on any one particular area of technology; if it’s cool to me and I think it could be useful for others, I write about it. Hopefully there is something here that is useful or interesting to you.
Thanks for reading!
